To meet its mission HWAT has four focus areas:

1) Coalition building is our outreach and collaboration efforts with other groups, organizations, communities, and individuals to build a groundswell of support to improve the lives of Hmong women. As expected, this work crosses all of our program areas.

2) Research about Hmong women where organizations and individuals can access information and resources on the roles Hmong women have in both the Hmong and American communities.

3) Leadership development and support that provides opportunities for Hmong women to lead and to become leaders in whatever field that they choose.

4) Equity Programs that address gender and equity issues prevalent in the Hmong community.
